About

DJ Drosman, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 18 years of experience in the fields of health and the healing arts. He has worked in settings ranging from a psychiatric inpatient unit in New York City to the Facebook Wellness Center in Menlo Park, from an adult day-health center for seniors in Bayview–Hunters Point, to an elementary school in San Francisco’s Tenderloin.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, DJ received his bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and his master’s and doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology. He completed his predoctoral training at the Access Institute and his postdoctoral fellowship at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Rosa. He has served as supervising faculty at the Access Institute and adjunct clinical faculty at the Wright Institute. He most recently supervised predoctoral interns in the psychiatry department at California Pacific Medical Center.

DJ has been in private practice in San Francisco since 2015. Valuing continued learning and lifelong education, DJ is currently a candidate at the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California, receiving advanced, in-depth training in psychoanalysis. An avid cook and lover of food, DJ believes in health and healing at its most elemental and is reminded daily of the potential for complete transformation as raw ingredients become a finished meal.
